It’s that time of year where it’s so hot clothing should be optional, or we should all just walk around in our swimsuits. Swimsuit shopping can be fun or it can be a real bitch. I personally love shopping for them but hate trying them on. Now a days finding an affordable but cute swimsuit is like finding a needle in a haystack. Which is why I thought I’d share some of my finds with you. Keep in mind, I’m a 28 year old mom. A mom who still likes to keep it fun and sexy.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned to love since becoming a mom it’s all things high waisted. When it comes to swimsuits it’s no different, you won’t catch me in a two piece unless it’s high waisted. Being thick and still feeling confident took some hard mental work, so why hide it. When shopping for a swimsuit I always check the two piece, high waisted section first then casually move onto the hot one pieces. So let’s do that here too.

High Waisted
Last October my cousin got married in Dominican Republic and while packing I realized I needed a new swimsuit STAT. Where the heck was I going to find a swimsuit in October? Duh, Amazon. I shit you not, THIS is the best two piece I’ve ever owned. Now, I’m not one for bright colors (Not even for a tropical vacation? No. It’s just not me.) so I went with the Olive Green when I first bought it last year. I loved it so much I got the same suit again this year but in the Leopard print. (Both are pictured above for you)
The top is so supportive, and it has full coverage all the way around. The bottoms are so comfy and even have an attached sash for you to tie whichever way you please. Being on the thicker side I went into the plus size to order mine but I will also link HERE the same brand, high waisted as well but in S-XL for you to check out. The best part about them, not only can they be shipped super fast through amazon but they were affordable as heck!
So… Affordable, comfortable, look and feel amazing in them what more can you ask for in a swimsuit? Thank you Amazon! Now let’s move right along.
Another site I depend on for lots of my affordable apparel (not just swim), that’s also comfy and cute as hell is SHEIN . I’ve had so many people ask my opinions since ordering from them and I don’t have enough good things to say. How cute are these two, high waisted swimsuits I put in my cart super fast this year? Can we say OBSESSED!?

This snake skin swimsuit has slightly thicker straps on the top, compared to the leopard one. But let me tell you, the material on both are so comfortable you’ll easily be burnt forgetting you’re roasting out in the sun all day. The bottoms on both are really high waisted, a bit cheeky but still not too revealing. SO FREAKIN AFFORDABLE! Again, I’m obsessed. SHEIN never disappoints.
One Pieces
Moving on, shall we?
The Hot Mom One pieces. We all secretly have them, we all secretly love them, now let’s all embrace them out loud and not give a fuck.
This little black number is from Target. Now, Target isn’t the cheapest when it comes to swimsuits (or anything really). I’m sure we can all agree on the fact we always walk in for one thing and walk out spending $178.47 and only have two bags. But Target is my go-to for a black one piece. I know I can find one that’s comfortable and I’ll look like a hot mom at the same time. Like the simple black one piece pictured above, with the strappy sides and a plunging neck line and open back, are we saying MILF together yet?!
Treat Yourself
Now if you’re anything like me, you have a draw full of swimsuits already and every year it over flows even more. Each year I always order more then I need, but they’re like shoes – you can’t ever have too many. Shopping and buying swimsuits became so much easier when I finally learned to find the ones that are cute, comfortable AND don’t break the bank. I hope these tips help you find a few that you love, and since they’re super affordable treat yourself to more than just one. You deserve it! XO
And if you’re a mama feeling discourage shopping for a swimsuit, always remember – You’re a MILF let that shit be known! You created a human! You’re a damn superhero, show that shit off!
Let me know in the comments if you tried any of the places or suits I talked about above and what you thought!
OBSESSED with this post! Super cute and great tips for trying to find that perfect bathing suit and feeling confident. ❤️!
XOXO
I just bought a tankini for the first time. I love the idea of a two-piece for convenience but am not body confident enough for a bikini so I figured I would give a tankini a try and I love it! The bathing suits you have pictured are so pretty!
You’re beautiful, body confidence is hard work but worth it. Keep telling yourself how bomb you are, you’ll start listening soon enough babe!

After becoming a mom I am loving high waisted and one piece suits! Thanks for sharing this!!
I like the fact that you don’t hold back & are raw and honest about being a young mother and body changes like I am. I will own my body and try to find a swimsuit on Amazon or shein. Thanks!
Love that snake print swimsuit! It’s super cute!
